Since 2012, Spotazores has been showcasing the Azores to the world through a network of live webcams spread across all nine islands.
The project started with an already well-established platform and a strong presence. The goal was to prepare it for a new stage: improve performance, simplify the user experience and build a structure capable of supporting Spotazores as it continues to grow.
To achieve this, we renewed the entire digital experience. We created a new website, developed a mobile app and built a new technological foundation so that all channels could work together seamlessly.

Our work went far beyond a visual refresh. It represented a deep, end-to-end transformation of Spotazores, encompassing its entire ecosystem: from brand strategy and identity to user experience, technological infrastructure, servers, the web platform, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. We rethought how people find and view the cameras, simplified navigation by island and municipality, and reorganised the information to create a more intuitive experience and a consistent visual language across both the website and the apps. Behind this new experience is a renewed technological infrastructure and a dedicated API that centralises camera data and weather information. The result is a faster, more robust and reliable Spotazores, built on a technological foundation designed to continue growing and evolving. But despite all this transformation, what lies at the heart of Spotazores remains unchanged: connecting people to the Azores through real-time images. For those who live on the islands, those who visit them, or those who are far from home, Spotazores is a simple way to feel closer to the archipelago - a window onto the Azores, open to the world.
